THE SAMA COLLECTIVE

Where Balance and
Healing Begin

A multidisciplinary outpatient program for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing mental health and functional difficulties who require a higher level of support than standard therapy, while remaining in their everyday environments.

Structured Mental Health Rehabilitation for Young People Who Are
No Longer Functioning as They Once Did

The Problem

Some changes are gradual. Others feel sudden.

A child becomes quieter.
A teenager stops attending school.
A young adult is unable to return to university or begin working.

Over time, functioning declines

  • Routines become disrupted
  • Sleep becomes irregular
  • Avoidance increases
  • Emotional regulation becomes more difficult
  • Engagement with daily life reduces

They are not in immediate crisis, but they are no longer functioning. They feel stuck.

The Gap in Care

Many young people do not fit neatly into existing systems.

  • Weekly therapy may not be sufficient.
  • Their needs may exceed traditional outpatient therapy, while not warranting inpatient treatment.
  • Some may consider rehabilitation or residential programs. These can offer structure and intensity but often require individuals to step away from their daily lives, including home, school, work, and relationships.

This creates a gap for

  • Young people who are struggling significantly in their daily lives but are still living at home and trying to manage school, university, or work.
  • They need more support than traditional therapy programs can provide, but do not require or may not benefit from stepping away from their lives for inpatient or residential care.
